After being part of Queaneyan Parish, and later St Christophers, St Benedict's Parish was fomally established in 1962. Mas was celebrated in the School (which opened in 1955) until the Church building was completed in 1983. St Benedict's became an Arcdiocesan Eucharistic Centre in 1998.
